Under policy guidance from the 11-member Board, the President & CEO of Port San Antonio plays the role of external relationship builder and influencer, strategic visionary, team builder, and change agent.

Minimum requirements 
Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, marketing, finance, law, or a related field. Candidates should have a minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience in an executive level capacity in a high growth environment. He/she should have domestic and international trade experience and exposure to mixed-use real estate development.

Having an understanding of the unique nuances of working for a public enterprise entity comparable to the complexity and size of operations found at Port San Antonio is highly desirable. Candidates must have the ability to undertake frequent domestic and international travel.

Qualifications that are preferred, but are not an absolute include an MBA or other advanced executive leadership training. Spanish language skills would be a distinct plus.

Job Opening: Accounting Manager - Residential, Commercial & Construction
Posting Date: July 23, 2014

Manages professional level accounting functions to include the residential, commercial and construction accounting and internal control functions. Reports to Controller.

Responsible for the month-end closing process and preparation of the financial statements for all residential, commercial and construction entities. Analysis of the monthly general ledger account activity, journal entries, accruals, variances to forecast and detailed supporting schedules. Responsible for all balance sheet account reconciliations for all applicable entities. Prepares and posts monthly tenant billings, new leases and changes to existing leases. Posts cash receipts from customers and tenants and closes work orders. Ensures proper project and budget approvals and that actual costs are recorded to the appropriate categories as defined in the project budget. Reconciles tenant invoicing for direct bill work orders and ensures tenants are billed for work requested. Reviews expense recovery billing and reconciliations. Provides the monthly operating statements and A/R aging reports to the property managers. Provides monthly job cost reports to project managers and construction managers. Responds in a timely manner to all property, project and construction management inquires and requests. Assists in the preparation of the yearly budgets and forecasting activities. Continuously improves processes and systems within the department and related areas of responsibility as well as provides recommendations, when appropriate. Works with each direct report, if applicable, to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff. Assists company in executing company policies and internal control procedures. Other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

Experience: 6 years experience in professional level accounting.
