This is a professional management position. Responsible for processing all permits and approvals involving Port development activities and those of its customer's incoming, but not limited to zoning R.O.W. Easements FAA and FRA environmental historic building and dig permits, certificates of occupancy and Port urban design standards, land transfers and utility locations. Administers the agreement between the Port and the City for building permits as the required certified Building Official and Liaison with City officials for fire, historic preservation and drainage functions. Administers contracts for professional services in support of above responsibilities. Supervises Port permitting staff and contractors.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Engineering, Architecture or a related field
Over ten years of experience in plan review and inspection
Building official certification from International Code Council

Design, develop, implement and reengineer business processes to facilitate internal operations and new business development efforts related to foreign investment in local businesses; conference with internal stakeholders to identify weaknesses and strengths to improve business processes, gather, map and analyze internal and external customers' needs and business requests to determine effective approaches and feasibility of process design; design and develop processes, plan structure and process specifications and layouts; collaborate with functional and administrative personnel on process issues affecting other business areas; review existing business structure process flows, implement enhancements and improvements; ensure corresponding training is in place to strengthen implementation of the processes and improvements.
MBA degree with coursework/skills in: project management, marketing, finance, global management, decision analysis, organizational behavior, accounting analysis for decision making, and strategic management/policy; knowledge of project management tools such as PM, Central or Microsoft Project; knowledge of Foreign Trade Zone and EB 5 Program as investment tool.
