FLEX SPACES ACCOMMODATE NEW INDUSTRIES IN 2016

Firms in the energy, logistics, information technology, healthcare and nonprofit sectors take advantage of ample modern office / warehouse facilities in southwest San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO—Port San Antonio has been busy at work in recent months as it collaborates with several incoming customers to complete $2 million in finish-outs and space configurations at the office/warehouse complex located on the 900 block of Billy Mitchell Boulevard.

These newest tenants will occupy a combined total of 34,000 square feet accommodating an array of operations. Several firms at the complex support other Port customers, including large aerospace, Department of Defense and logistics operators. Other firms are taking advantage of the site’s location in southwest San Antonio and quick access to area highways to provide their services to other industry sectors in the region.

The new tenants are:

  • avanceAVANCE San Antonio, Inc. (903 Billy Mitchell Boulevard — A nonprofit that is the local chapter of AVANCE, Inc., will relocate its San Antonio regional offices to the Port. A nationally-renowned organization, AVANCE has delivered innovative family education and support services, particularly to under-served, hard-to-reach populations, since 1973. AVANCE operates numerous childhood development and parenting education programs around the country. In addition to its new offices, AVANCE has maintained an early childhood development center at the Port, located at 807 and 809 Buckner St., since 2004.   • ip-secureIPSecure (903 Billy Mitchell Boulevard) — A locally-based 8(a) SDB company, IPSecure provides an array of Cyber Security services to the U.S. Department of Defense, including Information Technology Test and Evaluations, Network Engineering, Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditations, Network Operations and Intelligence Support. Headquartered in north San Antonio, the company has been serving the community for 15 years and is adding a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) site at the Port to facilitate its support of DoD clients located at the Port, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland and locations worldwide. www.ipsecureinc.com
  • homecare dimensionsHomecare Dimensions (919 Billy Mitchell Boulevard) — The Texas-based healthcare services firm is relocating its South San Antonio branch. In addition to San Antonio, Homecare Dimensions serves communities throughout Texas, including Austin, Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley and El Paso. Services include home health aides, therapy, medical equipment for home use and nursing. www.homecaredimensions.com

The five-building complex at the Port was completed in 2009. With a combined 330,000 square feet, it is among the largest Class-A office/flex facilities in southwest San Antonio.

Other customers at the complex include XPO Logistics (formerly New Breed Logistics), which serves the region’s aerospace industry (www.xpologistics.com); Aerospace Products SE, Inc., a leading third-party logistics company (www.apseinc.com); and Interra Energy, a firm that arrived in early 2015 and provides specialized drilling equipment for energy operators on the nearby Eagle Ford Shale play (www.interraenergy.com).

The Port’s own corporate headquarters are also located within the complex. The 32,000 square-foot suite was finished-out in 2009 as the region’s first commercial interior completed to LEED-Gold standards, in recognition of the building’s many energy-saving features.

Spaces ranging from 4,800 to 19,000 square feet are still available at the complex and can be configured and finished-out to meet numerous needs, including as offices, warehouses, workshops and showrooms.
