Port San Antonio is a defense base development authority established by the City of San Antonio as authorized under Texas Law. The Port is a separate political subdivision of the State. 

The Authority encourages the participation of local and non-local businesses in various procurement opportunities to support its contribution to the overall economic development of San Antonio.
