CAD Technician:
Dept: Architecture and Engineering

CAD Technician: Drafts, draws and creates utilizing computer aided drafting systems to prepare schematic, preliminary, presentation and design documents. Prepares moderately complex layouts to communicate ideas and information. Field work is also required including taking photos, field verification of information, collecting data and providing existing conditions information that support the redevelopment efforts. Field work also includes environmental work, utility coordination, construction inspections and soil/material testing.

Experience: Must have thorough knowledge of computer equipment and CAD software. Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction experience preferred with at least 50 hours of computer aided drafting experience. Design and construction exposure will be a benefit.

Education: Associates Degree; Vocational / Technical Training Certification; or High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
