Three Years and Counting: Growing America’s Tech Innovation Destination

More than half a million visitors connect with Boeing Center at Tech Port in its first three years.

05-08-2025

As the Boeing Center at Tech Port celebrates its third anniversary this month, we’re feeling the love from all of you who connected with us—a total of more than 500,000 visits to more than 2,500 events and activities we’ve hosted since opening our doors in May 2022.

Envisioned as an innovation center like no other in the nation, the 130,000-square-foot complex features a 3,500-seat arena, a 50-station LAN gaming center, a startup accelerator lab, a VIP club and a food hall featuring an array of local establishments and AREA 21, a technology showroom and educational space operated by our partners at the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT).

Combined, these spaces host everything from rock concerts, technology expos, esports tournaments, nationally televised sporting matches, community celebrations, educational experiences and much, much more.

Here, people from near and far can have a great time out with family and friends while also connecting with and participating in the development of technologies — many with deep San Antonio roots — that are increasingly deployed around our nation and across the world. It is no coincidence that the Boeing Center is located in the heart of our Tech Port campus, home to more than 80 enterprises and their 18,000 employees leading innovations in cybersecurity, aerospace, national defense, space exploration and an array of other advanced technologies.

What’s more, all proceeds Port San Antonio receives from the Boeing Center go directly to programs supported by the Kelly Heritage Foundation —$1 million to date and counting—which are inspiring young people to pursue future educational and eventual career pathways in the industries thriving on the Tech Port campus.

The Boeing Center at Tech Port was voted 2024 Best Music Venue by San Antonio Current readers.
