Alamo Academies

The Alamo Academies, part of community college district Alamo Colleges, is a nationally renowned program that has opened doors to hundreds of high school students with college-level training in aerospace, information technology, advanced manufacturing and healthcare professions.

In particular, the Aerospace Academy, located at the St. Philip’s Southwest Campus next to Port San Antonio, has been an innovation leader in aligning students’ education with the needs of aerospace firms at Port San Antonio. The program identifies and trains talented students with strong backgrounds in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Since 2001 the Aerospace Academy has graduated over 300 students. For many, the Academy offers a direct path to rewarding careers in a field that has a strong future ahead.
