Chris Alderete - Chair

Served as Secretary/Treasurer in 2014, Vice-Chair in 2015 and Chair of the Performance Oversight Committee in 2018
Alderete attended San Antonio College and Trinity University. She began her 35-year health care career at Christus Santa Rosa and obtained her certification from the Texas Home and Community Support Service Agency (HCSSA) as a Home Health Care Administrator.
She also hosts Catholic Television of San Antonio’s (CTSA Channel 15) show "Today’s Ministries," highlighting ministry-based programs in the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
After her retirement in 2014 she became a small business owner—of the Rose Boutique Florist. The floral company that is affiliated with FTD and serves all of Bexar County.
Alderete chaired the 2000 Census Complete Count Committee and the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women on behalf of former San Antonio Mayor Ed Garza. In 2012 she was appointed by Mayor Julián Castro as co-chair of the 2012 Proposed Bond Committee on Streets, Bridges and Sidewalks. Currently she serves on the City of San Antonio’s 2017 Drainage & Flood Control Community Bond Committee. Alderete also served on the Blue Ribbon 2017 bond committee for the San Antonio Independent School District—a measure that was approved by voters in the November 2017 election.
She is also the former President of the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame and continues to serve on the organization’s board of directors. Likewise, she was former chair and continues to serve on the board of OASIS—a national organization that promotes successful aging through lifelong learning, health programs and volunteer engagement.
She previously served as board chair of SAMM Ministries, where she oversaw the acquisition and development of a transitional shelter for homeless families.
Currently she serves on the board of the University of Texas Health Science Center’s Cancer Therapy and Research Center (CTRC). The organization recently became affiliated with MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Her other current board positions include The Heritage at Westover Hills—an assisted living and memory care center—as well as Las Misiones—the organization that helps restore the San Antonio missions, which have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
She is married to Joe V. Alderete, Jr. The couple has five children—Claudette, Clarissa (deceased), Joe III, Carina and Marina—as well as five grandsons and two granddaughters.
Alex Nava - Vice-Chair

During his fifteen plus years of practice, first at Davis, Cedillo & Mendoza, Inc. and then as a Member of Nava & Glander PLLC, Nava has focused on representing individuals and companies in first and third-party insurance matters, employment disputes, construction disputes, and tort and business disputes and litigation.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Nava attended grade school at Holy Spirit Catholic School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1995. After high school, Nava played baseball for and received a B.A. in English and History from West Texas A&M University, in Canyon, Texas, in 1999. In 2004, Nava received a J.D. from St. Mary’s School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. Nava is licensed to practice law in Texas state courts, and in the federal courts of the Eastern District of Texas, Northern District of Texas, Southern District of Texas, Western District of Texas, and Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Nava’s non-profit board service includes: Historic Design Review Commission, 2006 - 2009; Alamo Workforce Solutions Board, 2012 - 2015; and United Communities of San Antonio, 2009 - 2019. In addition, since 2006, Nava has served as a board member at Port San Antonio, where is currently the vice chair of the board of directors. In 2011, Mayor Julian Castro appointed Nava to serve as a co-chair of the Parks Committee for the City of San Antonio 2012 – 2017 Bond Program. Nava is or has been in the past a member of the following organizations: William S. Sessions American Inn of Court; State Bar of Texas; San Antonio Bar Association; San Antonio Young Lawyers Association; the Federal Bar Association; and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Away from the office, Nava enjoys spending time with his wife, Brenna, who is also an attorney working for Rackspace Hosting, Inc., and their three young children—Isabella, Cydney and Joseph.
Margaret Wilson-Anaglia - Secretary

Wilson-Anaglia brings over 30 years of public- and private-sector entrepreneurial experience. She is currently the President & CEO of Al’s Gourmet Nuts—a locally-based specialty food products company she founded in 2000. Prior to embarking on her journey with Al’s Gourmet Nuts, she was a Manager in the City of San Antonio’s Economic Development Department.
She also serves on the Bexar County SMWBE Advisory Committee. She previously served on the Brooks Development Advisory Board, the MacArthur High School PTSA Board as well as the Garner Middle School and Northwood Elementary School PTA boards.
She has received numerous distinctions as part of her business career and public service. Among them, she was recipient of the 20 x 20 Award by ACCION Texas; the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award for Innovation by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO); a PTA Honorary Life Membership Award; and the Women’s Leadership Award / Family Business by the San Antonio Business Journal.
Anaglia holds a Master of Arts degree from Trinity University and a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word.
She and her husband Albert are parents to two awesome boys—Joseph and Paul.
Bill Mock - Treasurer

Mock has held key leadership positions over a career spanning the military and public sectors.
In 2015 he retired from the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. During his 21-year tenure with the organization, he held the positions of executive Vice President, Director of Military Affairs, Vice President of Small Business/Area Business Councils, Vice President of Economic Development and Vice President of Membership. He led important civic and business initiatives on behalf of the chamber, including the creation of BioMed SA and Pathways to a Great City. He also played a key role in efforts that brought the 24th Air Force to San Antonio.
Prior to his career with the Chamber, Mock served in the U.S Air Force for 30 years retiring with the rank of Colonel. He maintains organizational ties with the Department of Defense, including a four-year tour as the Honorary Commander of the 67th Cyber Wing and a four-year tour with the Air Force Space Command''s Commanders Advisory Group at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado—parent command of 24th Air Force, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
Mock currently serves as a member of the Air Combat Command Commanders Advisory Group at Langley Air Force Base—parent command of 25th Air Force, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland—and as Honorary Commander of 25th Air Force at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
Mock is also a current board member of the Military and Veteran Community Collaborative (MVCC), a local nonprofit providing support to organizations and agencies serving military personnel, veterans and their family members in the San Antonio region.
MINNIE ABREGO-SANCHEZ -

Following a career in education spanning nearly 30 years as a teacher and administrator with the Edgewood and San Antonio independent school districts, Abrego-Sanchez joined the staff at the San Antonio Alliance of Teachers and Support Personnel—part of the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD).
She subsequently served as community outreach director and district director for Texas State Senators Leticia Van de Putte and José Menendez. Currently, Abrego-Sanchez is an associate consultant for Andrade-Van de Putte and Associates.
She also volunteers extensively for her community, including as past president of the Bexar County Democratic Women, San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame and the Mexican-American Business and Professional Women’s Club—the latter where she established the first local and statewide leadership program for professional Texas women.
Abrego-Sanchez holds an undergraduate degree in education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a master’s degree in educational administration from Trinity University.
Bradley Carson -

District 6 appointee Brad Carson is an attorney with longstanding experience in San Antonio’s business community. He is a founding partner of Kruger Carson PLLC, a full-service commercial real estate and business law firm. His areas of practice include capital transactions, commercial real estate development and operations, finance, renewable energy, and general business transactions. Carson has been active in helping to shape the city’s future and has previously served as a member of the city’s Planning Commission.
Carson is an active member in several professional and community associations, including the Real Estate Council of San Antonio, which he serves as an officer, the Urban Land Institute, CCIM, the Downtown Alliance of San Antonio, and the U.S. Green Building Council. He has also been a guest lecturer for multiple courses within UTSA’s Real Estate Finance and Development Program and other programs hosted by the Texas Bar.
He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and earned his law degree from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Herbert Law Center.
Victoria M. Garcia -

Garcia is a Managing Partner of Bracewell LLP’s San Antonio office, where she specializes in labor & employment law and immigration. Garcia also serves on the Board of Directors for Texas Public Radio, the Board of Trustees for the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County and the Board of Directors for the Western District of Texas Admissions and Disciplinary Committee.
Garcia holds a law degree and Master’s of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
THOMAS "T.J." MAYES -

Mayes, and attorney, has served as Chief of Staff for Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff since 2016. He also teaches law and public policy courses at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
His legal career includes working as both assistant city attorney and deputy general counsel for several South Texas communities. He previously focused on regulatory and legislative affairs for a regional engineering firm.
Mayes’ public-sector experience also includes serving as Chief of Staff to former District 8 San Antonio City Councilman Ron Nirenberg—now Mayor of San Antonio. Some of the issues Mayes helped spearhead for District 8 were the prioritization of 2017 bond projects, the renewal of the Edwards Aquifer Protection Program and the development of a citywide digital infrastructure initiative.
MARILU REYNA -

Reyna’s career spans numerous leadership roles in the education and the nonprofit sectors. Since 2015 she has served as Executive Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications for San Antonio-based nonprofit BCFS, which oversees national and global health and human services initiatives.
From 2008 to 2015 she was Associate Vice President of Communications, Marketing and Special Projects at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Other professional roles include serving as Executive Director of the Hispanas Unidas Mentorship and Leadership Program and as the National Director of Public Relations and Marketing for nonprofit AVANCE’s Early Childhood Education Program. Earlier in her career she also oversaw events and other public relations initiatives for St. Mary’s University and San Antonio Public Television affiliate KLRN-TV.
Reyna has also served in numerous volunteer leadership roles on behalf of municipal and civic organizations. In 2018 she was appointed as a member to the City of San Antonio’s Bond Oversight Commission—a position she still holds.
She also currently serves on the boards of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is a past board member of the Alamo City Chamber of Commerce.
Reyna holds an undergraduate degree in sociology and a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies/Public Relations – both from St. Mary’s University. She received her nonprofit management certification from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Juan Solis III -

Served as Secretary in 2018-9
Solis is a Vice President for BB&T, specializing in work with small businesses. He has also had extensive professional experience as an advertising executive, specializing in marketing to the Hispanic community.
His public service career began as District 5 Councilmember for the City of San Antonio in 1992, a position he held five years. In 1999 he was elected as Texas State Representative for District 124, serving one term.
Solis’ public sector experience also includes serving as a tri-chair of the Initial Base Adjustment Strategy Committee (IBASC), formed in 1995 to develop a community response plan as Kelly Air Force Base began closure and ownership of the large property transitioned to the redevelopment organization that is today Port San Antonio.
Solis is a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Sam Houston State University and the John F. Kennedy School of Government-Senior Executive Program at Harvard University.
Currently, Solis is also a board member of Southside First, Launch SA, Workforce Solutions Alamo and Sam Houston State University Alumni board of Directors.
He is married to Maria Z. Solis and has 19 year old twins Zoraida and Francisco.
Dan F. Weingart -

Weingart is Chief Commercial Officer of The Aspen Beverage Group, and London based leader in coffee and tea extraction and concentration. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the consumer- packaged goods industry, including a career at The Coca-Cola Company, where he managed key international accounts. Weingart holds a Master of International Management degree from the American Graduate School of International Business, Thunderbird Campus, and earned his undergraduate degree in History from The University of Texas at Austin.
